(Note: Bold Alliance is no longer active as Bold Louisiana in the state of Louisiana.)

Bold Louisiana under the Bold Alliance — led by state director Cherri Foytlin — launched in 2016 to fight Energy Transfer Partners’ Bayou Bridge pipeline that threatens the state’s fragile Atchafalaya Basin and bayou ecosystem, and the frontline communities that have historically been discriminated against and designated a “sacrifice zone” by Big Oil and a fossil fuel-friendly state government. Bold also organized with allies to protect the Gulf from offshore drilling, fracking and unregulated wastewater dumping.
